In the heart of Eastern Bosnia, something remarkable is unfolding: the project “Butterfly – Wings of Support for Young People with Disabilities”, proudly supported by the La Terra Nostra Foundation. Together with the Leptir Association, over the course of one month, 20 young people from Srebrenica and Bratunac have the opportunity to learn about healthy nutrition — not only as a way of caring for the body, but also as a path to self-confidence, togetherness, and everyday independence.

The project combines theory and practice through:

· educational sessions on the value of everyday food items
· cooking workshops that empower, connect, and teach essential life skills

At the very first workshop, participants prepared a colorful, nutritious salad and a juice made from natural ingredients — and the smiles at the table showed just how much it meant.

We are especially delighted that a greenhouse is being prepared in the courtyard of the Association — a space where young people will soon grow their own vegetables, which will become part of their meals and learning process. It is a step toward sustainability, but also toward a deeper sense of belonging and pride.

For the La Terra Nostra Foundation, this is more than just a project — it is an investment in dignity, empowerment, and the future. We believe that when young people are given support, they gain wings. And Butterfly flies precisely because of that belief.
