Born in Sarajevo, school in Paris, Diploma at the University of Architecture in Sarajevo, from 1986 living and working in Switzerland.

My first contact with the charity foundation La Terra Nostra was while attending the first charity dinner in Zurich in 2013. I was strongly inspired by the goals of the foundation as well as its founder and president Alma Palo Alicehic. My motivation was also my own need to contribute to improving the lives of people in Bosnia-Hercegovina. Individual help can help individuals, which is beneficial but often not very effective in the long term. Within the framework of the organization La Terra Nostra a structured help, long term programs and goals are possible, which can make an impact on a whole region. 

What is the need for an additional foundation? A lot of existing organisations are active in similar fields, but what is unique about La Terra Nostra is that it is a foundation with a board of members as only deciding body, in which enthusiasts work without any kind of retribution. All board members engage their time and money for the foundation. The resources and means flow directly into the programs and arrive at destination without an intermediary. The use and impact of the involved means are strictly controlled on site in Bosnia-Hercegovina by the board members. La Terra Nostra is a non-religious, non-national organisation with a forward-looking vision and aims to make a constructive contribution to the development of the people of Bosnia-Hercegovina. The foundation focuses on education for children, help for families, empowering of women and access to sanitary and medical services, also in collaboration with other organisations with similar goals such as SOS Kinderdorf, Emmaus, Labdoo ect.
