In summer of 2024, La Terra Nostra supported the project “Rusag’s Living History of Medieval Bosnia”.
“Through our work in promotion medieval Bosnia, we have often observed that narrative presentations of history, both for children and adults, stimulate curiosity and a desire to explore the lives of ancestors in our region. The project supported by La Terra Nostra is based on research, reconstruction, and the creation of 12 costumes representing the middle class of medieval Bosnia, with a special focus on the robes of two queens, Katarina Kosača and Queen Mara, which will be featured in an exhibition on the portrayal of medieval life,” stated the Rusag Association.
The project’s goal is to promote both the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of medieval Bosnia and Herzegovina for the purpose of developing historical tourism, creating new methods for touristic and educational promotion of Bosnia’s medieval heritage, and educating citizens about the lives of medieval person through an exhibition of robes and everyday lifestyle.
